Katarzyna Borycka is an expert in diagnosing childbirth-related injuries. A colorectal surgeon by training, she founded and leads OASIS Diagnostics, a Warsaw-based medtech company behind ONIRY, a patented impedance-spectroscopy device for detecting obstetric anal sphincter injuries after vaginal childbirth. A 2025 peer-reviewed multicentre study in Nature Scientific Reports found the ML-assisted method achieved roughly 87-90% diagnostic accuracy. She was named Businesswoman of the Year in the Start-Up of the Year category in 2021, and the company holds patents in Poland and Russia with applications pending in the US, Canada, and before the European Patent Office.
